Our AI & Technology Policy

Agye Din uses technology responsibly. Here is exactly how we use AI tools — and where human editors remain in control.

Last updated: September 2026

Human Review All published content is reviewed and approved by a human editor before it goes live.
Verified Facts AI is never treated as a source of truth. Every factual claim must be verified against reliable public sources.
Full Transparency We disclose how technology assists our editorial process. We will not hide AI involvement in content production.

Our position on AI

Agye Din is a Ghanaian biographical database built on accuracy and trust. We believe AI tools can assist our editorial work — but they cannot replace human judgement, source verification, or editorial responsibility.

We do not publish AI-generated content as fact. We do not allow AI tools to make final decisions about what appears on our profiles. Every published biography, fact, and figure is the responsibility of our editorial team.

How we use AI tools

We may use AI-assisted tools at various stages of our research and production process, including:

  • Research assistance — gathering initial background information, which editors then verify against primary sources.
  • Draft preparation — generating first-draft text that editors rewrite, fact-check, and revise in our own voice before publication.
  • Data processing — organising and cross-referencing large data sets (for example, award histories or career timelines).
  • Image sourcing assistance — identifying candidate photos, which editors then licence, credit, and upload manually.
  • Translation and transcription — converting interview content or Ghanaian-language material to support research.

What we do NOT do

  • We do not publish AI output directly without human review and verification.
  • We do not allow AI to generate net worth figures, award details, birth dates, or other specific factual claims without independent source confirmation.
  • We do not use AI-generated photos or fabricated images of real people.
  • We do not represent AI-assisted content as independently reported journalism.

The human editorial process

Regardless of which tools are used during research, every profile on Agye Din follows this editorial path before publication:

  1. Research gathered from public records, reputable Ghanaian publications, official sources, and verified social media.
  2. Draft reviewed and rewritten in Agye Din house style by a human editor.
  3. Key facts — name, date of birth, career history, awards, family — cross-checked against at least one independent source.
  4. Sources documented internally.
  5. Profile published. Verified profiles receive a "Verified Profile" badge and a Last Reviewed date.

Corrections and updates

If AI-assisted research introduced an error into a published profile, we treat it with the same urgency as any other factual error. Corrections are applied promptly. See our Corrections Policy for details.

Our commitment

We will update this policy as our use of technology evolves. Agye Din's reputation depends on accuracy — and no tool, AI or otherwise, changes that commitment.

Questions about this policy can be sent to contact@agyedin.com.
