Our research philosophy

Agye Din is a biographical database, not a news publication. Our goal is to maintain accurate, long-lived records of Ghana's public figures — not to break daily stories. This means we prioritise depth, accuracy, and source quality over speed.

A fact only appears on a profile when it can be traced to at least one credible, independently verifiable source. Where figures are estimates (for example, net worth), we say so explicitly.

Primary sources

Wherever possible, we use primary sources — information that comes directly from the person, their official representatives, or an official institution:

• Official artist and professional websites
• Official verified social media accounts (Instagram, X/Twitter, Facebook, TikTok)
• Official press releases and statements
• Ghana Football Association official records
• Ghana Music Awards official results
• BET Awards, MOBO Awards, and other international award body records
• Electoral Commission of Ghana records (for politicians)
• University and school websites (for education verification)
• Company registration records (for business information)
• Government of Ghana official publications

Reputable Ghanaian publications

For biographical information that is not available from primary sources, we cross-reference established Ghanaian news organisations and entertainment outlets:

Wikipedia and Wikidata

We use Wikipedia and Wikidata as secondary references — useful for a starting point, identifiers, or cross-checking — but never as the sole authority for any fact.

Wikipedia content is not copied onto Agye Din profiles. Where Wikipedia cites a reputable source for a fact, we go directly to that original source to verify it.

Net worth methodology

Net worth figures on Agye Din are estimates. There is no independently verified public record of any private individual's exact personal net worth. Our figures are derived from:

• Publicly reported earnings, contracts, and business valuations
• Industry estimates published in reputable outlets (Forbes, Billboard, GhanaWeb, etc.)
• Publicly visible assets (property records, known business holdings)
• Interviews in which the individual has discussed their finances

All net worth figures are clearly labelled as estimated. We update them when new credible reporting is available.

Award verification methodology

Award claims are verified against official award body records wherever those records are publicly accessible. For awards where no official record is available online, we require at least two independent reputable news sources reporting the win before it is listed on a profile.

What we do not use

• Anonymous tips or unverified personal claims
• Social media rumours without further verification
• AI-generated facts (see our AI & Technology Policy)
• Single-source claims for sensitive facts (birth date, family, net worth)
