Our Content Policy

Agye Din publishes biographical profiles of Ghanaian public figures. Our textual content is written in-house. Where we use photographs, we endeavour to use images that are in the public domain, licensed under Creative Commons, or used with permission. Photo credits are attributed on profile pages where applicable.

If you are a rights holder and believe any content on our site infringes your copyright, please follow the process below.

How to Submit a Takedown Request

To file a valid DMCA takedown notice, send an email to contact@agyedin.com with the subject line DMCA Takedown Notice. Your notice must include:

• Your full legal name and contact information (email address, phone number, and postal address).
• A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
• The exact URL(s) on agyedin.com where the allegedly infringing content appears.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

Incomplete notices that lack any of the above elements may not be actioned.

What Happens After You Submit

On receipt of a valid notice, we will:

• Review the claim within 5 business days.
• Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content if the notice is valid.
• Notify the person who posted the content (if applicable) that it has been removed.
• Inform you of the outcome by email.

Counter-Notice (Wrongful Removal)

If you believe your content was removed as a result of a mistaken or misidentified takedown notice, you may send a counter-notice to contact@agyedin.com with the subject line DMCA Counter-Notice. Your counter-notice must include:

• Your full legal name, email address, phone number, and postal address.
• Identification of the content that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
• A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
• A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in your country of residence.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may reinstate the removed content after 10 business days unless the original complainant initiates legal action.

Repeat Infringers

It is our policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, access of users or contributors who are repeat infringers of intellectual property rights.
