Empress Gifty Oppong Adorye

Empress Gifty Oppong Adorye, popularly known simply as Gity and formerly as Empress Gifty Osei, is one of Ghana's most successful contemporary gospel musicians, celebrated as much for her powerful contemporary highlife-inflected worship songs as for her flamboyant sense of style. Born on 25 October 1982, she has been a leading figure in Ghanaian gospel music since 2007 and remains a fixture on the country's Christian music scene.
