Godwin Attram

Godwin Attram is a Ghanaian football coach and former striker best known for his goals in Saudi Arabia with Al-Shabab. On 16 October 2026 the Ghana Football Association named him an assistant in the interim Black Stars technical team for the November internationals, working under Kim Lars Björkegren alongside Ibrahim Tanko.

Playing career

Attram was born in Accra on 7 August 1980 and started at Great Olympics in 1996. He was in the Ghana side that finished runner-up at the 1997 FIFA U-17 World Championship. PSV Eindhoven signed him in 1998, and on loan at Silkeborg IF in Denmark he won the Danish Cup in 2000-01. After a spell at Stade Tunisien, where he won the Tunisian League Cup in 2002, he joined Al-Shabab in Saudi Arabia in 2003.

At Al-Shabab he won the Saudi Premier League in 2003-04 and 2005-06 and was the league's top scorer in 2003-04 and 2006-07. He later played in the UAE for Al-Shaab and Hatta, in Egypt for Smouha, for Hajer in Saudi Arabia and Dhofar in Oman, before returning to finish his career at Great Olympics. He played for the Black Stars between 1997 and 2006 and was in the squad for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations.

Coaching

In 2010 he co-founded the Attram De Visser Soccer Academy at Sowutuom with the Dutch scout Piet de Visser. He became an assistant to Tanko with the local Black Stars in January 2020 and moved to the Under-23 side as an assistant in April 2020.
