DIRECTORS-GENERAL OF THE NATIONAL SPORTS AUTHORITY

The Director-General runs the National Sports Authority (NSA), the state agency that manages Ghana's national stadiums and works with the sports federations. The President appoints the holder. This list starts in 2013; earlier heads of the authority and of its predecessor, the National Sports Council, are not yet included. The current Director-General of the National Sports Authority is Emmanuel Osei Sarpong.

  2. 2 2017 – 2018 · Acting Robert Sarfo-Mensah Suspended in April 2018 after the Commonwealth Games visa scandal; later resigned
  3. 3 2018 – December 2018 · Acting Abdul Majeed Bawa Deputy Director-General; stood in until Peter Twumasi was appointed
  4. 4 10 December 2018 – 26 February 2024 Peter Twumasi Relieved of the post by the Presidency
  5. 5 26 February 2024 – 17 September 2024 Dodzie Numekevor Appointment terminated by President Akufo-Addo
  6. 6 17 September 2024 – 13 March 2025 · Acting Seth Panwum Boyoyo NSA board chairman from October 2021
