Seth Panwum Boyoyo

Seth Panwum Boyoyo is a Ghanaian sports administrator who chaired the governing board of the National Sports Authority (NSA) from October 2021 and ran the authority as acting Director-General from 17 September 2024 to 13 March 2025.

From Wa All Stars to the NSA board

He was general manager of Wa All Stars, the club that later became Legon Cities FC, and by 2021 had about 25 years' experience in sports administration. He sat on the NSA board chaired by Kwadwo Baah Agyemang from 2017 to 2020.

A letter dated 4 October 2021 from the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Opare, made him chairman of a new 15-member board for four years. At the time he was a technical adviser to the Vice-President, Mahamudu Bawumia. The Director-General who sat on his board was Peter Twumasi.

Six months in charge

He took over the day-to-day running of the authority on 17 September 2024, when Dodzie Numekevor was dismissed and told to hand over to the board chairman. The Baba Yara Sports Stadium had just lost its approval to host international matches. On 25 September 2024 he told Parliament's Select Committee on sports that alternative venues in Ghana were ready for inspection, and dismissed talk that the Black Stars would play Sudan in Togo.

After the change of government, President John Dramani Mahama ended his acting appointment on 13 March 2025 and named Yaw Ampofo Ankrah Director-General. He is on the list of Directors-General of the National Sports Authority.
