Xorse Godzi

Xorse Godzi is a Ghanaian banker who became Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Standard Chartered Bank Ghana PLC on 11 June 2026. He succeeded Mansa Nettey, who retired after leading the bank, and took over as it pushed further into digital banking.

Career

Godzi joined Standard Chartered Bank Ghana in 2002. From 2006 to 2010 he worked at Standard Chartered in London as Director, Global Corporates, and he later moved to Standard Chartered Bank South Africa as Head of Commodities Traders and Agribusiness for Africa. Back in Ghana he led the corporate business, serving as Executive Director and Head of Ghana Corporates, and he was appointed to the Ghana board in 2024 while Head of Client Coverage for the Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Banking unit. He has more than two decades of experience in corporate and institutional banking across Africa and Europe.

Education and interests

He holds a BSc in Administration (Accounting) from the University of Ghana, Legon, and is an affiliate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He is a member of the Rotary Club of Accra Sunrise, which supports special needs education and maternal health.
