Yayra Portia Klu

Yayra Portia Klu is a Ghanaian humanitarian, youth activist and social entrepreneur. She is the founder and chief executive of Uriel Impact Generation, a volunteer-driven non-profit that works on youth unemployment and helps young people find direction in their lives and careers.

Through Uriel Impact Generation, Klu has mobilised more than 3,000 volunteers for education and health initiatives. The organisation runs outreach programmes and gives back to communities, including on her birthday each year, and has hosted visiting school principals from the United Kingdom. It also organises EVE Women in Governance, a platform that champions women's participation in leadership and public life.

Recognition

Klu was named among Ghana's Top 50 Young CEOs in 2023 and won recognition at the JoyNews Impact Awards. In 2025 she was selected as an Elevate Africa Fellow and was included in AfroTalks' 50 Faces of the Future list, alongside names such as Stonebwoy and Wode Maya, for work that blends creativity, fashion, social enterprise and youth mentorship. She has also taken part in international youth forums, including the AFS Youth Assembly in New York.
