Henry Nana Boakye

Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, is a Ghanaian lawyer and the Second National Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He won the post with 3,061 votes at the party's National Delegates Conference in Kumasi on 3 October 2026, moving up from National Organiser.

Education and student politics

Nana B attended the State Experimental Primary School in Kumasi, Achimota JHS in Accra and Prempeh College. He joined the NPP at 19, straight out of Prempeh College, as a polling agent in the 2000 general election. At the School of Mines in Tarkwa, now the University of Mines and Technology, he helped set up the party's student wing, TESCON, and became its founding president there. He later studied law at KNUST, where he was elected TESCON president again.

Party career

He has served the party as a polling station chairman, electoral area chairman, constituency communications officer and national communications officer, and sat on its National Steering Committee. He worked in the national youth wing under Sammi Awuku in the run-up to the 2016 election, and in 2018 delegates in Koforidua elected him National Youth Organiser. President Akufo-Addo also named him to the board of the National Youth Authority.

In July 2022 he was elected National Organiser at the Accra Sports Stadium, leading the party's field organisation into the 2024 election. Campaigning for vice chairman in 2026, he said he might be the youngest of the 13 candidates but had 26 years of unbroken service. He now serves under National Chairman John Boadu.
