About Iddrisu Dawuda
Iddrisu Dawuda is a teacher who represented Karaga in the Northern Region for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for two terms, from 2005 to 2013. He was born in Karaga on 22 May 1950.
He trained at Kanton Teachers' Training College and was a headteacher and assistant director with the Ghana Education Service in Tamale. He won Karaga in 2004 and again in 2008 with 57 percent of the vote. In 2012 the NDC candidate was Alhassan Sualihu Dandaawa, who held the seat until 2020. He is married with six children. Mohammed Amin Adam of the NPP holds Karaga today.
