About Inusah Fuseini
Inusah Fuseini is a lawyer and National Democratic Congress (NDC) heavyweight who represented Tamale Central from 2006 to 2021 and served as Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and then Minister for Roads and Highways under Presidents Mills and Mahama. He was born on 23 January 1962 and comes from Tishiegu in Tamale.
Teacher to lawyer
Fuseini trained as a teacher at Bagabaga Training College before studying law at the University of Ghana, where he also took a master's in law. He was a senior associate at the Law Trust Company in Accra before politics.
Tamale Central
He entered Parliament through a by-election on 4 April 2006, after the sitting MP, Wayo Seini, defected from the NDC to the NPP. He won by a majority of more than 17,000 and held the seat in 2008, 2012 and 2016.
Minister
He was Deputy Minister for Energy from 2009 to 2012, Minister for Lands and Natural Resources in 2012 and 2013, and Minister for Roads and Highways from 2013 to 2017. Alidu Mahama Seidu of the NDC holds Tamale Central today.
