Early life

She was born Jane Fara Fauzzier Afia Boafowaa Awindor on 10 April 1987 in Kumasi. Music and media ran in the family; her mother, Nana Adwoa Awindor, was a filmmaker and talk-show host, and Efya grew up steeped in performance.
