He was born in Yendi on 2 May 1992 and finished at Business Senior High School (BISCO) in Tamale in 2011. He earned a BSc in economics at the University of Ghana and a master's in finance at UPSA, and has studied chartered accountancy with ICAG.
Career
He worked as an accountant for the NDC. In 2023 the Northern Ghana Business Awards named him leadership personality of the year. He won the party's Sagnarigu primary that year with 801 votes, ahead of Alhassan Bashir Alhassan Fuseini, and beat the NPP's Felicia Tetteh in the general election.
