About Alhassan Bashir Fuseini
Alhaji A.B.A. Fuseini, full name Alhassan Bashir Alhassan Fuseini, is a veteran journalist who represented Sagnarigu in the Northern Region for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from 2013 to 2025. He was also Deputy Northern Regional Minister from 2013 to 2017.

Born in Tamale on 2 February 1956, Fuseini attended Yendi Secondary School and T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School in Kumasi, then studied at the University of Ghana. He took a master's degree in human rights at the University of Essex in 1993 and a postgraduate diploma at the International Institute of Journalism in Berlin. From 1987 to 2012 he was night editor at the Daily Graphic, one of the most demanding desks in Ghanaian journalism.
Politics
He won Sagnarigu in 2012 and held it for three terms, serving at the same time in the Mahama government as deputy regional minister. He is married with four children. Attah Issah of the NDC succeeded him in 2025.
