About Ali Maiga Halidu
Ali Maiga Halidu is a development consultant who represented Dormaa West in the Bono Region for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from 2017 to 2021. He was born on 11 March 1980 and comes from Nkrankwanta.
Halidu studied at the University of Cape Coast, where he also worked as a teaching assistant, and took an MPhil at Cambridge. He taught in the Ghana Education Service and worked as a regulatory officer in the food and agriculture sector before turning to development consulting. He won Dormaa West in 2016 with about 51 percent of the vote. He is married with six children. Vincent Oppong Asamoah of the NDC holds the seat today.
