About Ameen Salifu
Ameen Salifu is a housing and development specialist who represented Wa East in the Upper West Region for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from 2013 to 2017, after serving as District Chief Executive for Wa. He was born on 25 July 1965.
Salifu took an MSc in international housing and social change at the London School of Economics in 2000 and a master's in NGO and development management at the University of East London in 2007. In London he worked as a capital works surveyor for Presentation Housing Association. He was DCE for Wa from 2009 to 2013. He is an Ahmadi Muslim, married with three children. Godfred Seidu Jasaw of the NDC holds Wa East today.
