About Anthony Effah
Anthony Effah is a banker who represented Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa in the Central Region for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from 2017 to 2021. He comes from Breman-Brakwa.
Effah studied economics at the University of Ghana, graduating in 1985, and took an executive MBA in finance there in 2003. He was director of risk management and compliance at Fidelity Bank in Accra and chaired the board of Brakwa-Breman Rural Bank. He won the seat in 2016 by just 430 votes over the NDC's Alhassan Kobina Ghansah and served on the Finance Committee. Ghansah now holds the seat.
