About Anthony Osei Boakye
Anthony Osei Boakye is a former managing director of the Produce Buying Company who represented Atwima-Nwabiagya South in the Ashanti Region for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from 2013 to 2017. He was born at Toase on 15 October 1949.
Osei Boakye studied education at the University of Cape Coast, graduating in 1977, and rose to lead the Produce Buying Company, Ghana's largest cocoa buyer. He won the seat in 2012 with 74 percent of the vote and served one term. He is married with three children and seven grandchildren. Emmanuel Adjei Anhwere succeeded him, and Shirley Kyei holds the seat today.
