About Anthony Evans Amoah
Anthony Evans Amoah was a journalist and human resources manager who represented Mpohor-Wassa East in the Western Region for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for two terms, from 2005 to 2013, and was Western Regional Minister under President Kufuor. He was born on 8 April 1952 and came from Mpohor.
He held an MPhil in sociology and an MBA from the University of Ghana, worked as a journalist and in advertising, and was human resource manager of the Graphic Communications Group. He won Mpohor-Wassa East in 2004 and 2008. The seat was split in 2012 into Mpohor and Wassa East. He worshipped with the Church of Pentecost and was married with five children. He died on 2 November 2024 after a short illness.
