About Paul Collins Appiah-Ofori
Paul Collins Appiah-Ofori is a company secretary and businessman who represented Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa in the Central Region for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for four terms, from 1997 to 2013. He was born on 19 August 1943 and comes from Breman Asikuma.
He qualified with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in London and ran SIO Industries in Asaba, Nigeria, from 1987 to 1996. He won the seat in 1996 and held it in 2000, 2004 and 2008, the last time by about 400 votes over Georgina Nkrumah Aboah of the NDC, who took it in 2012. He is a Methodist, married with three children. Alhassan Kobina Ghansah of the NDC holds the seat today.
