About Paul Okoh
Paul Okoh is a teacher and diplomat who represented Asutifi North, in today's Ahafo Region, for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for three terms, from 2001 to 2013, and was later Ghana's ambassador to Egypt. He was born on 22 February 1949 and comes from Kenyasi No. 1.
He studied religion and education at the University of Cape Coast and was assistant headmaster of Dompoase Secondary School in Adansi, and a housemaster at Prempeh College. He won Asutifi North in 2000, 2004 and 2008. Joseph Benhazin Dahah kept the seat for the NPP in 2012. In July 2017 President Akufo-Addo named him ambassador to Egypt. He is a Catholic, married with nine children. Ebenezer Kwaku Addo of the NDC holds Asutifi North today.
