Puozaa Mathias Asuma is an educationist who represented Daffiama-Bussie-Issa in the Upper West Region for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for three terms, from 2005 to 2017, and chaired Parliament's Education Committee. He was born on 10 January 1948 and comes from Tuori-Daffiama.
He took an MSc in community education at the University of Edinburgh and lectured at the University of Ghana before entering Parliament. He is a Catholic, married with five children. Sebastian Sandaare of the NDC holds the seat today.
