About Iddrisu Zakari Alidu
Iddrisu Zakari Alidu is a teacher who represented Walewale, in today's North East Region, for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for two terms, from 2005 to 2013. He was born at Janga on 6 March 1956.
He holds a Bachelor of Education in accounting from the University of Education, Winneba, and an executive master's in governance and leadership from GIMPA. He won Walewale in 2004 with 35.3 percent of the vote in a divided field and held it in 2008. Sagre Bambangi of the NPP took the seat in 2012. He is married with nine children. Abdul-Kabiru Tiah Mahama of the NPP holds Walewale today.
