About Ibrahim-Tanko Amidu
Ibrahim-Tanko Amidu leads the STAR-Ghana Foundation as programme director and acting CEO. In 2025 he was named to the eight-member Constitutional Review Committee set up by the President.
Governance work
He also sits on a three-member committee advising government on ways to promote good governance, and in 2025 he was elected to a four-year term as board chair of the Africa Philanthropy Network, based in Tanzania.
Recognition
In September 2025 the Institute of Directors Ghana made him an honorary fellow, and he was inducted as a Special Star Achiever into the Northern Sector Youth and Mentors Achievers' Awards Hall of Fame. He appears on Avance Media's 2025 list of the 100 most influential Ghanaians. He is not to be confused with the football coach Ibrahim Tanko.
