About Henry Yiadom Boakye
Henry Yiadom Boakye is an engineer and NGO founder who represented Akwatia in the Eastern Region for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from 2021 to 2025. He comes from Akwatia.
He trained in engineering and founded the Okoyo Foundation. He won Akwatia in 2020 with 51.5 percent of the vote against Ernest Kumi of the NPP, and sat on the Youth, Sports and Culture and Privileges committees. Kumi beat him in 2024 and died in office in July 2025; the NDC's Bernard Bediako Baidoo then won the seat back in the September 2025 by-election.
