Tracy Owusu-Addo

Tracy A. Owusu-Addo, widely known as Tracy Sarkcess, is a Ghanaian media strategist and social entrepreneur, and the wife of the rapper Sarkodie. She founded BRAVE, a set of projects that support young Ghanaian women in business, technology and education, and she co-manages Sarkodie's record label, Sarkcess Music.

Media work

Her background is in digital marketing and strategic media planning, with experience across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. She is chief executive of BRAVE Media Agency, which works on brand strategy and content production, and has handled digital media strategy for Sarkcess Entertainment.

BRAVE

Through the BRAVE Foundation she runs programmes for young women: the Brave Venture Builder, which mentors women entrepreneurs; a sanitary pad support fund aimed at menstrual equity; TechHer Future, which encourages girls into technology; and an internship scheme for young people. BRAVE has partnered with the Kumasi Hive innovation hub to support young women in STEM. Her advocacy covers menstrual health, financial literacy and gender equality.

Family

She married Sarkodie in July 2018, in a private ceremony followed by a white wedding at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra. They have two children. She has roots in Manya Krobo in the Eastern Region.
