Early career

He was born in Berekum on 2 December 1990 and started at Berlin FC and Berekum Arsenal, making the Ghana Premier League all-star team in 2007. After a loan at Asante Kotoko, trials in England and a short spell at Recreativo Huelva in Spain, Udinese signed him in January 2010.

Italy

He became a regular in Udinese's midfield in 2011-12, alongside his compatriot Kwadwo Asamoah. After a loan at Bursaspor in Turkey, where injury kept him out for 11 months, he moved to Hellas Verona in 2019. That August he was hospitalised with blood clots on his lungs, but returned to play in December, and Verona signed him permanently in 2020.

Black Stars

The midfielder won 78 caps and played at the 2010 and 2014 World Cups.
