Kamaldeen Sulemana

Rennes paid about €20 million for Kamaldeen Sulemana in July 2021, then a Danish league record. He has since played in England for Southampton and, from July 2025, in Italy for Atalanta.

Techiman to Denmark

He was born in Techiman on 15 February 2002 and came through the Right to Dream Academy before moving to its partner club Nordsjælland in January 2020. He signed a five-year deal on his 18th birthday and debuted a week later against SønderjyskE. When Mohammed Kudus left for Ajax he took the number 10 shirt, and five goals in five games earned him the Superliga's Player of the Month award for April 2021.

Rennes, Southampton, Atalanta

He scored 14 minutes into his Ligue 1 debut, a 1-1 draw with Lens on 8 August 2021. Southampton signed him on 1 February 2023, and his first Premier League goals came in a 4-4 draw with Liverpool that May. A red card against Leicester in September 2023 was later overturned. Atalanta bought him for around €17 million on 2 July 2025. He plays wide on the left or up front and is a Ghana international.
