Erkuah Official

Erkuah Official, whose real name is Janet Offei, is a Ghanaian TikTok creator and social media personality, widely reported to be the most followed Ghanaian on the platform with more than five million followers.

Offei began posting more regularly during the Covid-19 lockdown, and one of her videos went viral, bringing her an audience in Ghana and beyond. She started out with dance videos but found her real strength in skits built around expressive facial reactions and relatable everyday situations, which helped her following grow rapidly.

Content as a career

Her success has made her a leading example of TikTok as a job in Ghana. She has said she earned around GH₵200,000 from content creation while still a student, and she once explained publicly why she turned down a GH₵50,000 promotional deal that did not fit her values. Live streaming has also become an important source of income for her and other top Ghanaian creators.

Education

Offei studied political science at the University of Ghana and completed her degree in 2024, when friends celebrated her in the traditional powder-covered style after her final papers.
