Harold Norman

Harold Norman is a Ghanaian businessman best known as the husband of Nana Akua Addo, the actress and red-carpet style icon. He has kept a low public profile for most of his marriage, and very little about his early life, age or education has been made public.

Business interests

Norman is reported to be linked to the management of Swiftcash Forex Bureau, a currency exchange business in Accra. He has also been associated with youth entrepreneurship and start-up funding, including a venture with luxury car dealer Gideon King aimed at helping young people raise capital.

Marriage to Nana Akua Addo

Norman and Nana Akua Addo married in a private civil ceremony in March 2022. The couple have two daughters, Jesusa and Ohemaa Dokua, who often appear in their mother's fashion posts. In a 2021 interview that resurfaced in 2026, Nana Akua Addo spoke about infidelity in the marriage and said the couple had gone through counselling afterwards.

2026 allegations and investigation

On 6 October 2026, videos spread on social media showing Nana Akua Addo receiving hospital treatment for a swollen lip and bruising, with posts alleging that Norman had assaulted her. Several outlets reported that he had been taken into police custody, but the police had not issued a public statement confirming an arrest at the time. Nana Akua Addo did not give an account of what happened; responding under one blogger's post, she asked for the videos to be taken down for her daughters' sake.

Norman denies assaulting her. In a statement signed by Emmanuel Bright Atokoh of Ba Law Consult, his lawyers said the injury in the circulating footage dated from a 2021 altercation, and claimed that Nana Akua Addo had tried to stab him with a knife during an argument about infidelity and that a shard from a mirror he used to shield himself struck her lip. They said the matter was already under criminal investigation by the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service, with civil proceedings also under way, and urged the public to let the investigation and the courts run their course. Norman also posted a video showing what he said were bite marks and scratches inflicted by his wife.

None of the claims made by either side had been tested in court at the time of writing.
