Hilda Nimo-Tieku

Hilda Nimo-Tieku is a Ghanaian lawyer and business leader who has been chief executive of Jobberman Ghana, the country's largest online jobs platform, since January 2022.

Education and early career

She qualified as a lawyer at the Ghana School of Law. Her career before Jobberman was in technology and telecommunications. She was a programme administrator in the telecoms sector and then held several posts at MainOne, the submarine cable and data centre company, including service delivery supervisor and sales manager. She later became business development manager at CWG, an IT services firm.

Jobberman

She joined Jobberman Ghana's leadership team in December 2020 as head of sales, responsible for revenue and growth. The company named her chief executive, and she took up the role on 3 January 2022. Jobberman connects jobseekers with employers and runs free soft-skills training for young people entering work.

Youth employment

She speaks often about the job market for young Africans. On the World Bank's People First podcast she argued that careful career planning and deliberate networking can open doors for graduates in a tight labour market.
