Hillary Adare

Hillary Widanama Adare is a Ghanaian geomatic engineer, entrepreneur and social impact leader. She is the founder and chief executive of Wonfliki, an agritech startup that uses precision farming and remote sensing to give farmers data about their crops.

Wonfliki

Wonfliki turns satellite and remote sensing data into practical insights for farmers, helping them understand the health of their fields and make better decisions. The same data helps close a gap that often keeps smallholders from getting loans: lenders rarely have reliable information about a farm's performance, and Wonfliki's records can support applications for financial assistance.

Background

Adare trained in geomatic engineering, the science of measuring and mapping the earth, and brings that background directly into her company's technology. She had spent about four years building in the startup space by the time she drew international attention.

Recognition

In 2023 she was selected as one of 700 fellows from about 50,000 applicants for the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, the flagship programme of the Young African Leaders Initiative. The same year she was named among Ghana's Top 50 Young CEOs.
