Joseph Adjei

Joseph Adjei is a Ghanaian creative director and media entrepreneur, the founder and chief executive of BlacVolta. Since starting the company in 2022 he has built it into a 360-degree digital media and marketing firm focused on Ghanaian and African entertainment.

BlacVolta

BlacVolta works across event production, event coverage, talent management and broadcasting, with a particular focus on Accra's nightlife and entertainment scene. Its editorial output documents concerts, parties and cultural moments, and the brand has become a reference point for how young Ghanaians discover what is happening in the city.

In October 2025, in partnership with Visa, the company launched the BlacVolta App and the BlacVolta Lifestyle Card, which combine entertainment with payments and are designed to help Ghanaians and visitors navigate dining, nightlife and events. Adjei has also led plans for Entertainment Week Ghana, a week-long celebration of the industry.

Recognition

On 5 September 2025, at the 9th Forty Under 40 Awards at the Labadi Beach Hotel, Adjei was named Media Personality of the Year in the digital and social category.
