James Wiafe Akenteng

James Wiafe Akenteng is a young Ghanaian entrepreneur and the chief executive of Akenteng Group, whose businesses include Akenteng Furniture, the coffee and drinks brand Kent's Cup and the property venture Kent Home.

Akenteng Group

Akenteng built his name first through furniture. Akenteng Furniture makes and sells home and office furniture, and it gave him the base from which to expand into other consumer businesses. Kent's Cup extended the group into food and beverages, and Kent Home, launched with an event that drew attention on social media, took it into premium residential property.

He has shared the story of his entrepreneurial journey on Adom TV, including on the morning show Mahyease, where he spoke about starting small and growing a group of companies. His businesses and public appearances have made him a familiar face among Ghana's young business owners on social media.
