Kamafo is a Ghanaian rapper and songwriter signed to Asuafuo Inc. Born Berfenda Duodu, he makes hardcore, street-level hip hop and also goes by Drencho, the name on his Instagram page. His YouTube channel carries the line "Moving hoodbois to ghetto heaven".

Guest verses first

He has been active since 2020, and his earliest credits were on other people's records. He appeared on Dabright's "Emergency" in 2021 and on a string of BlvckGoldNation releases with Jove Kente, among them "Sika", "Free My Mind" and "Boss Chick".

His own singles began in July 2022 with "Odeshi Season 1". "Bread of Life" followed that December.

"Mayeshe" and a busy 2024

In September 2023 he shared a song with Kweku Smoke: "Mayeshe", from Smoke's Playman project. It remains his most played track on streaming platforms. "Suspects", with il-lifa and NanaMilla, came out on 27 November 2023.

Three singles arrived in 2024: "Years of Tears" on 28 March, "Warzone" with Kwame Yesu on 23 June and "Shutup!" on 16 September.

The Immersion

His debut EP, The Immersion, was released on 21 February 2025. It has six tracks, with guest appearances from Kweku Smoke, Nsogbu Malaika, QV and FreddyWyse. Jordanbeatz produced, mixed and mastered the whole project. Kamafo has said most of the songs were recorded more than five years before they came out.

After the EP

He returned with "Off Hype" on 16 December 2025 and "On Yo Necks" on 6 March 2026. "Hell's Kitchen", with SC4 and QV, followed on 17 April 2026.
