Kwame Yogot

Kwame Yogot (born Kenneth Kyeremanteng, 25 September 1990) is a Ghanaian rapper and hiplife artiste from Assin Bereku in the Central Region. After about ten years on the underground circuit, he broke through in 2021 with Biibi Besi featuring Kuami Eugene, which earned him nominations at the Ghana Music Awards and the 3Music Awards.

Early life

He grew up in Assin Bereku and Abura Dunkwa before moving to Ashiaman to pursue music. He has explained that the name Yogot comes from "you got": a woman his uncle once dated would tell him "Kwame, you got talent" whenever she heard him rap.

Breakthrough

In 2020 he signed with Sky Entertainment, an Accra-based label and management company, and released Bitter Sweet with Yaa Pono. He also featured on Takum's Talk My Tin that year.

Biibi Besi, a drill-influenced record about ambition, came out in February 2021 and became one of the year's biggest songs in Ghana. At the 2021 Ghana Music Awards he was nominated for Unsung Act and joined Kuami Eugene on stage to perform it. At the 2022 3Music Awards he was nominated for Breakthrough Act of the Year, and Biibi Besi was nominated for Best Collaboration and Song of the Year; he also performed the song at the ceremony.

New King

After the single Oh Ah, he released his debut EP, New King, in October 2021. The six-track project includes For The Boys with Kweku Flick and Hallelujah, recorded with a Kumasi choir.

Later releases

He has kept up a steady run of singles, including Chilling with Lasmid (2022), Feeling Okay (2023, remixed in 2024), Sika Duro and Case Nti (2024), and New Love with Kweku Darlington (2025). He also appears on Corp Sayvee's Gong Gong Dance and Muzic Mensah's Akwanomah. His 2026 releases include Wo Sika Ye Sen, Totas, Apology and Abu the Thief.
