Kweku Flick

Andy Osei Sarfo, known professionally as Kweku Flick, is a Ghanaian singer, rapper and songwriter from Abrepo in Kumasi. He rose to fame in 2020 with "Money", and is known for singing mostly in Twi and for opening his songs with "PAW", which he says stands for "Prayers Always Work".

Early life and education

He was born on 16 May 2001 and traces his roots to Mampong in the Ashanti Region. He is one of five siblings. He attended Saint Georges in Kumasi for his primary education and Pentecost Preparatory School for junior high, and finished at St. Hubert Seminary School in 2020.

Career

His debut single was "Awake", and "Money" made him known across Ghana and beyond. In 2020 he featured on Shatta Wale's "Ahodwo Las Vegas". He has worked with Sarkodie, Black Sherif, Amerado, Sista Afia, Yaw Tog, Strongman, Kofi Jamar and Kojo Cue.

Ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar he and Smallgod released "Blackstars", a song for the national team that players including Mohammed Kudus embraced. Other songs include "Bye Bye", "No Sleeping" with Kuami Eugene, "Ewiase", "Attack" with Strongman and "Adwuma N'asi" with Kojo Cue. His album is King of Melodies.

Recognition

He is often described as a versatile artist for moving between rap, highlife and Afropop. Obrafour has publicly praised his craft, and he has received several nominations at the Ghana Music Awards and the 3Music Awards.
