OJ Blaq, born Andy Nii Akrashie in Accra in 1983, was a rapper and actor. His 2006 debut, The Blaq Mixtape, made his name, and his song Chalewote became a big hit. He died on 17 August 2023 at the age of 40.
Life and career
He attended Achimota School and earned a diploma in travel and tourism. As an actor he was best known as Marlon "T" in the TV series Suncity, which had audiences across Africa, Europe and the United States. He kept releasing music alongside his acting.
