Paa George

George Appiah Kubi, known to Ghanaian audiences as Paa George, was born on 10 May 1937, making him one of the oldest and most senior figures in Ghana's film industry. His career in acting has spanned decades, outlasting generations of fellow performers and surviving the industry's many transitions, from early concert party and television drama through to the Kumawood boom of the late 1990s and 2000s.

His notable film credits include Public Toilet Africa (2021), Princess Tyra (2007), and Black Star (2006), and his filmography extends far beyond these titles to encompass dozens of productions in which he has taken on roles ranging from patriarchal authority figures to comedic elders.
