R2Bees

R2Bees are two cousins from Tema, Faisal Hakeem (Paedae) and Rashid Mugeez (Mugeez), and they earned a BET Awards nomination in 2013 off the back of their second album.

First records

Their debut single "Yawa Gal" came out in August 2008, followed by "I Dey Mad" with Unda Melodies, which sat at the top of many Ghanaian radio charts for weeks. Their 17-track first album, Da Revolution, appeared in 2009 with producer Killbeatz behind the boards and guests including Wande Coal, Sarkodie, Samini and Kwaw Kese. "Kiss Your Hand" followed in 2010.

Refuse To Be Broke

The second album, Refuse To Be Broke (Da Revolution II), arrived on 29 March 2013, again produced entirely by Killbeatz. Its singles were rolled out over almost two years: "Ajeei" with Nana Boroo and Sarkodie, "Dance" and "Slow Down" with Wizkid, "Odo", "Life (Walaahi)", "Bayla Trap" with Sarkodie and "It's Alright". Davido, Tinchy Stryder, Sherifa Gunu and Voicemail also appear. The duo swept several categories at the 2013 Ghana Music Awards, including Artiste of the Year.

Later

The highlife-tinged "Lobi" was their first single of 2014. Their third album, Site 15, came out in March 2019. They rap and sing mostly in Twi and Pidgin.
