Adwoa Nyantakyiwa Annan

Adwoa Nyantakyiwa Annan is a Ghanaian banker and company director who sits on the board of Fidelity Bank Ghana. She spent about thirty years in financial services, twenty-three of them at Barclays, before moving into business and board work.

Banking career

Annan joined Barclays as a management trainee and stayed for twenty-three years, holding senior roles in operations, internal audit, branch management and business development. She later worked in microfinance, completing a career that spanned both mainstream and microfinance banking.

Business and boards

She co-founded Geothermal Management Services Ltd, a green technology company. Besides her Fidelity Bank seat, she is a non-executive director of Waveline Growth Partners, a finance company in Nigeria, and a consulting adviser to Alfie Designs, a garment manufacturer, and J and J Plastics. Avance Media named her among its 2026 Top 100 Ghana's Women Board Directors.
