Akosua Agyapong

Akosua Agyapong, also spelled Agyepong, is a Ghanaian highlife singer and television personality born on 17 November 1969. She is recognised as one of the pioneering female artists in Ghana’s highlife tradition, having contributed to the genre over several decades with a voice and style that earned her enduring respect in the industry.

Akosua Agyapong first came to prominence in the 1990s, releasing music that blended the classic highlife sound with contemporary influences. Her warmth on stage and on screen made her equally at home in television, where she extended her public profile beyond the recording studio.
