Bak Tye, also written Baka Tee, was the stage name of Ekow Zagla, a hiplife rapper who had his moment in the mid 2000s. He was born in 1980 and died on 28 July 2019.
Career
His best known record is Yenpie, a 2004 hit with Samini. At his peak he was a popular guest act, featuring on Mzbel's Awaso Me and on songs by Kofi Nti among others.
Death
He died of chronic tuberculosis at Ridge Hospital in Accra in July 2019.
