About Angela List

Angela List is a Ghanaian mining entrepreneur and one of the few women to run a gold producer in West Africa. She founded Nguvu Mining Limited, whose assets include Adamus Resources at Nzema in the Western Region and Northern Ashanti Mines at Konongo, along with mines in Mali, Burkina Faso and Liberia.

Education and BCM years

She holds a BSc in Administration from the University of Ghana and an MSc and MBA from the University of Manchester. She spent about two decades, from 2001 to 2020 by her company's account, at the mining contractor BCM, rising to executive director of BCM Ghana and BCM International. A dispute over her role in BCM went to court, and in January 2025 she said a ruling had confirmed her as a shareholder and director.

Nguvu Mining

Through Nguvu she controls Adamus Resources, Northern Ashanti Mining Company, Segala Mining, Samira Hill Gold Mine and Poura Resources, plus SEMICO and MIKO in Mali. In 2025 the group was producing about 150,000 ounces of gold a year and said output would rise to at least 200,000 ounces once Northern Ashanti reached full production.

Chamber of Mines and awards

In June 2026 she was elected First Vice President of the Ghana Chamber of Mines, moving up from Second Vice President. She was named Female CEO of the Year in mining at the Ghana CEO Summit in 2023, has received an award from the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and in September 2025 became the first Ghanaian to win the Global Power Female Award, presented in New York during the UN General Assembly.

Anas investigation

On 29 October 2026 the investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas announced an upcoming exposé titled The Stakes and Mystery of Angela List's Nguvu/Konongo Mines, produced with The New Crusading Guide and Tiger Eye. He said it draws on documents and court records about the Konongo concession dispute, but gave no release date and said names and figures would come only with the full report. No findings had been published at the time of writing, and the announcement itself does not establish any wrongdoing.
