Dr Djifa

Djifa Isabella Aicha Van Staalduinen, known as Dr Djifa, is a Ghanaian-Dutch medical doctor, reality television personality and humanitarian. She appears on the third season of the reality series GH Queens and runs an NGO called Mis-Shia. In October 2026 a clip of her on stage with the Nigerian singer Asake at London's O2 Arena made her one of the most searched names in Ghana.

Two homes

Her mother is Ghanaian and is credited with opening the first Ghanaian restaurant in Amsterdam. Her Dutch father served as Ghana's Honorary Consul in the Netherlands. Djifa finished primary school in the Netherlands before the family moved to Accra, where she completed secondary school. She later lived in the United Kingdom and then studied medicine at the Medical University of Plovdiv in Bulgaria.

Mis-Shia

While in Bulgaria she set up Mis-Shia, a name she says means "my house" in her local language. The organisation describes its mission as bridging Europe and Africa through diplomacy, healthcare and advocacy, with a focus on equal rights, ending poverty and a dignified life for Ghanaians and Africans. It draws supporters from the hospitality, medical and diplomatic communities in Ghana.

Television and music videos

On GH Queens season 3 she shares the screen with Efia Odo, Kalby Dickson, S3fa and CocoTreyy. She also appeared in the visualiser for KiDi's song "Babylon", released in February 2026.

The Asake moment

At Asake's concert at the O2 Arena on Thursday, 15 October 2026, she was invited on stage for the singer's trademark routine of lifting a fan. She did not let him lift her, and Asake appeared to walk away from the moment. The footage spread quickly across social media and led many to look up who she was.
