2026 controversy

On 1 September 2026 a video of her with the child content creator Adobea went viral and drew criticism, because it appeared to show the girl with alcohol. In a video posted the next day, Efya Gongon said the clip was part of a project warning children about alcohol and that the bottle held only water. She admitted that involving a minor in the scene was a poor decision and apologised. Reactions online were mixed.
