Gifty Anti

Gifty Anti began her career as a floor manager at GTV. She went on to host Standpoint, a talk show on women's issues aired in Ghana and on ABN TV in the UK, and in 2019 her memoir, A Bit of Me, reached number one on Amazon within a week.

Early life and education

She was born on 23 January 1970 in Tema, the youngest of eight, and her family comes from Cape Coast. She attended Tema Community 8 No. 1 Basic School and Mfantsiman Girls' Secondary School, trained at the Ghana Institute of Journalism, interning at the Ghana News Agency, the Ghanaian Times and GBC, and later earned a master's in international journalism at City, University of London.

Broadcasting and advocacy

Through Standpoint and her company, GDA Concept, she has campaigned on gender equality and girls' education. Her charity work runs through two organisations she started, one supporting girls in need and a reading project named Awo Dansoa, and she was a UN ambassador for the maternal and child health goals in 2012 and a national malaria advocate. Her other books include Fifty Nuggets and The Best of You (both 2020).

Family

She married Nana Ansah Kwao IV, chief of Akwamu Adumasa, at Trinity Baptist Church on 25 October 2015, and their daughter, Nyame Anuonyam, was born on 11 August 2017. She holds the title Oheneyere.
