About Samson Lardy Anyenini
Samson Lardy Anyenini is a lawyer and broadcaster who hosts Newsfile, the Saturday current affairs programme on Joy FM and JoyNews, and was named the Ghana Journalists Association's Journalist of the Year for 2019. He comes from Gambibgo in the Upper East Region and grew up in the Ashanti Region.
He went to Navrongo Senior High School and studied philosophy and classics at the University of Ghana, where he was JCR president of Akuafo Hall. He worked in radio at Luv FM in Kumasi and with the BBC, rose to news editor at the Multimedia Group, and qualified as a lawyer in 2010, with an LLB from KNUST and an LLM in alternative dispute resolution from the University of Ghana. In 2013 he left the newsroom for full-time practice and now heads A-Partners @ Law, while continuing to present Newsfile.
His cases include the one that led to the removal of the head of CHRAJ in 2015. He has chaired the disciplinary committee of the GFA Normalisation Committee and is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
