Amanda Akuokor Clinton

Amanda Akuokor Clinton is a corporate and litigation lawyer, the founder of Clinton Consultancy, and the first woman to run for president of the Ghana Football Association.

She holds a master's in African politics from the University of London and was called to the English bar in 2006 and the Ghanaian bar in 2009. She spent 42 months at the Office of the Attorney-General, where her cases included the 2010 Kosmos oil spill, before founding Clinton Consultancy, which advises companies on market entry, regulation and crisis management and has offices in Ghana, Sierra Leone, Nigeria and Egypt.

She represented investors in the collapsed gold dealer Menzgold in their fight to recover their money, and acted for the Ghana Football Association in its dealings with the government and FIFA. Nominated by Accra Hearts of Oak, she contested the GFA presidency in October 2019, which Kurt Okraku won. She is also chief executive of Bitcoin Exchange Africa.
